Default Wild hive in Wildwood

Our friend discovered an active honeybee hive in a tree in his backyard. Although he is inclined to let it alone, he's also concerned about children playing near it. What advice can we give him?
Thanks.

Default Move r not 2 move?

It would be better for the bees to wait until around February to remove them. It is pretty late if not too late for them to survive being removed from the tree. If they have to be moved, maybe you can relocate the part of the tree that they are in? If the tree is small enough that you can work with it or have the equipment to move a large log, cut the tree and move the part that contains the hive. Take it to a place where the log can be set up without causing problems and wait until it
